Connection is one of the most powerful tools in recovery. Recovery is often strengthened through relationships with peers, counselors, family members and recovery communities. People who feel supported are more likely to remain engaged in treatment and continue moving forward in recovery. Social support and recovery networks are critical factors in successful recovery outcomes.

Foundations Health OTPs offer peer support, level of care assessments and medication management to help individuals build strong recovery connections and long-term stability. If you or someone you love is struggling with opioid use disorder, reach out today. Visit https://bit.ly/3Trm5vD. You do not have to do this alone.

Every day, emergency departments across the country encounter individuals experiencing opioid-related crises. What happens next can make all the difference. Join us for an upcoming webinar featuring UHS and Foundations Health Product Director Siobhan Morse, who will discuss the importance of creating rapid pathways from the emergency department to treatment—particularly to Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs)—and how reducing delays can help save lives, improve engagement and support long-term recovery.

Participants will learn about:
-Common barriers that prevent successful referrals from the ED to treatment
-Strategies that have helped overcome those challenges
-Real-world examples from the Foundations Health continuum of care
-Lessons learned from programs successfully connecting patients to medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and ongoing recovery support.

Recovery doesn’t begin with a referral—it begins with a connection. Strong partnerships between emergency departments, behavioral health providers and OTPs help ensure individuals receive the right care at the right time. We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation.

Mental health and substance use disorders affect every community, but access to care is not always equal. According to the FDA, fewer than one in two African American adults received mental health treatment when needed, and Asian Americans were significantly less likely to receive treatment than non-Hispanic White adults.

Every person deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based treatment and recovery support. Foundations Health OTPs provide psychiatric services, transportation support and community referrals to help individuals overcome barriers to care and access the support they need.

Research consistently demonstrates a strong relationship between trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use disorders.

According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs National Center for PTSD, individuals with PTSD are significantly more likely to experience substance use disorders, highlighting the need for integrated treatment approaches.

Trauma-informed opioid treatment programs can improve engagement, retention and long-term recovery outcomes by addressing both conditions simultaneously.
