Great Day 1 of Executive Protection training here in Sheridan, Wyoming at Sheridan Tactical Training Center.

Today we covered a solid block of EP fundamentals, working from solo-agent assignments up to three-agent team movement. Training included carry considerations, weapon placement, movement, positioning, client coverage, and exfil procedures.

The terrain, weather, and range environment made for outstanding real-world reps and discussion. I’m enjoying working with this team and with Nir Pe’er, owner of Sheridan Tactical.

Training the trainers is one of the most important missions in public safety. The knowledge, tactics, and lessons learned this week will multiply as these instructors return to their agencies and communities to prepare others for critical incidents.
