πŸ’₯ NEXT UP: HIGH SCHOOL!

It’s been a minute since our last Summer Prep spotlight, but we are back this week to talk all things high school! πŸŽ“βœ¨

We asked our high school team, and here is what they had to say about what to expect and how to prepare over the summer for the upper grades:

What to Expect: High schoolers will dive deep into expanding their subject knowledge while learning to regularly synthesize new information. Across CP, Honors, and AP courses, the biggest shift is that students are expected to take major ownership, personal responsibility, and accountability for their learning.
Skills to Practice:

⏱️ Time Management & Diligence: Practice setting personal schedules this summer. Learning to turn things in on time and stay organized is far more critical to high school success than pre-learning textbook curriculum!

πŸ“– Reading Comprehension: Keep reading active over the break. Focus on understanding complex ideas and summarizing arguments to keep those critical comprehension skills sharp.

πŸŽ‡βœ¨ READY TO LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE! πŸ”΄βšͺπŸ”΅

Happy Friday, Cougar Families! As you head into the big Independence Day weekend tomorrow to watch the skies light up with beautiful fireworks, we have a quick weekend challenge for our families! πŸŽ†πŸ™Œ

Just like those bright lights will light up the dark sky on Saturday night, Jesus calls us to be a light to the world around us every single dayβ€”loving our neighbors and honoring our country through our actions.

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." β€” Matthew 5:16 πŸ’‘πŸ™

Have a safe, spectacular, and blessed 4th of July tomorrow! We can't wait to welcome all of our campers back to campus this coming Monday! πŸŽ’β˜€οΈ
