Greetings Friends!
I hope everyone had a good July 4th weekend in whatever way you chose to celebrate or experience it. Here are some reminders for this coming week...

THIS WEEK
TUESDAY- Weekly Bible Study will meet at 10AM in Ragan Fellowship Hall
WEDNESDAY - Choir will have rehearsal this week at 5:15PM in the Worship Room
WEDNESDAY - We'll invite folks for our weekly "Pause & Pray" and send out an updated prayer list for folks.

CELEBRATING FRIENDS- Remember that if you have a celebration to share with us - a personal achievement, milestone, maybe a meaningful trip that you experienced - we would love to share it with others. You can send it to the office at [email protected] and we'll include it in our next newsletter (August)

WEST END MINISTRIES FOOD PANTRY- The box underneath the main bulletin board is always there in Friends feel led to drop of non-perishables we can donate to West End Ministries Food Pantry. You can bring items any day of the week or on Sundays.

SUNDAY - HIGH POINT FRIENDS MEETING

Greetings Friends,
Here is what's happening tomorrow at HIgh Point Friends Meeting...

9:00 AM - UNPROGRAMMED MEETING FOR WORSHIP will be offered in our Meeting Library. Often this is a helpful "silent space" for those seeking a quiet space to worship, reflect, and contemplate. Friends are welcome to share as they feel led during the silence. Early Friends (Quakers) often met in silence and welcomed messages from folks as they felt led to speak.

9:30 AM - COFFEE & FELLOWSHIP - Yep...it's hot outside but we'll still have coffee and tea available as well as pastries. Friends are welcome to stop by and reconnect with Friends before our 10AM Meeting for Worship.

10:00 AM - PROGRAMMED MEETING FOR WORSHIP - Tomorrow's message is titled "Now the Work Begins" as we reflect on the implications of celebrating our country's 250th birthday and living within that tension of remembering that, as the Apostle Paul put it, "...our citizenship is in heaven". In other words, as people of faith, we live with a whole different set of allegiances that are shaped and formed by the vision of the Kingdom of God. What does it mean to live as citizens of our country while also holding the reality that our "...citizenship is in heaven". The scripture texts will be Micah 6:8 and Luke 10:25-28. We'll also take time, as we always do for sharing our Joys & Concerns as well as Open Worship. We will livestream on our High Point Friends Meeting page.

11:00 AM - ADULT FORUM / FORMATION CONVERSATION - We'll explore the theme of the message and dig a bit deeper as well as explore how early Quakers were present during the American Revolution and what part they may have played in the forming of the country.
