So many caregivers hear the same advice:

"Take care of yourself."

But no one talks about how to do that when you're already caring for everyone else.

Whether you're supporting children, aging parents, a partner, clients, patients, or your community, caregiving asks a lot of your nervous system.

Over time, many caregivers become experts at noticing everyone else's needs while losing touch with their own.

In this workshop, we'll explore:
• Why caregivers often run on empty
• The messages we learn about putting ourselves last
• How the nervous system responds to chronic caregiving
• Simple body-based practices that help you refill—without needing hours of free time

This isn't about becoming less caring.
It's about learning how to care for yourself while continuing to care for others.

Because an empty pitcher can't keep pouring forever.

Awareness creates choice.

Sometimes healing looks like joy.

When we think about supporting our nervous system, we often picture deep breathing, meditation, or quiet moments.

Those are wonderful practices.
But regulation isn't only found in stillness.

Sometimes it's found in:
🐾 Playing with your dog.
😂 Laughing until your stomach hurts.
🚶 Taking a walk with a friend.
🎵 Dancing in the kitchen.
🌿 Getting completely absorbed in something that makes you feel alive.

Joy isn't a distraction from healing.
Joy is part of healing.

When we experience genuine play, curiosity, connection, or laughter, our nervous system gets to practice something important:
"I can be safe and enjoy this moment."

That doesn't erase life's challenges.
But it reminds our body that life isn't only about surviving—it's also about living.

💚 What brought you a little joy today?

Summer often comes with a mission:
Keep everyone entertained.
Keep everyone busy.
Keep boredom away.

But Matilda doesn't seem bothered by boredom.

Sometimes she simply sprawls out on the couch.
Looking around.
Thinking her dog thoughts.
Doing absolutely nothing.

And somehow, a little while later, she's off exploring something new.

We've gotten used to treating boredom as a problem.
But boredom may simply be the pause between what was and what comes next.

A little empty space.
A little daydreaming.
A little room for imagination to wake up.

Not every moment needs to be filled.
Sometimes boredom is where creativity begins.

When was the last time you allowed yourself to be bored long enough for something new to emerge? 🐾🐾
