Dulce Gamez-Pineda’s story is one of resilience, strength, and hope. We’re proud to recognize her as a Student Leadership Award recipient from Middle College at GTCC – High Point. 🎓👏

Dulce began her journey with a goal of pursuing higher education early and earning her associate degree while still in high school. From the start, she embraced opportunity and worked toward her goals with determination. 💙

During her junior year, Dulce was diagnosed with cancer, facing a life-changing challenge that required strength, courage, and time away from school. Throughout it all, she remained connected to her community and supported by her family, educators, and care team. 💛

With incredible perseverance, Dulce continued moving forward and never let her circumstances define her future. This May, she will graduate with her associate degree and “ring the bell,” before continuing her education at UNC Greensboro as a first-generation college student. 🎓✨
