I want to share this for anyone who is close enough.

Clint shared that Jodis Honor Walk is scheduled for tomorrow at 5:00 PM at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

If you’ve never experienced one, an Honor Walk is when people line the halls as someone is taken to the OR for organ donation, quietly honoring who they are, the lives they’ve touched, and the lives they’ll continue to impact. That feels so deeply fitting for Jodi.

She has touched so many of us in ways that are hard to fully explain, through her kindness, and her presence. Being there feels like one small way to stand with her, with Clint, and with the girls in a moment that is almost too heavy to carry.

Per Charles the plan is to meet in the Memorial Hospital lobby (the entrance on the left if you’re facing the main UNC Hospital) at 4:30 PM, and then go up together to be in place before 5:00 PM.

If you have questions or to connect ahead of time, you can reach out to Charles at: [email protected]

Today is Clint Black's birthday.

My favorite story he ever shared was how they met in college through friends, and how Clint sold his Magic card collection just to buy Jodi Black her first Player’s Handbook, writing her a love letter inside it. I think about that story often, because it tells you everything you need to know about who he is and how deeply he loves her.

As many of you know, Jodi was transferred yesterday to a hospital that specializes in her condition, an opportunity that only exists because Clint made the call and was able to get her where she needs to be. She’s now in their ICU, not the transplant process, but in the care of a team experienced with cases like hers. It happened because her husband is in her corner, advocating and pushing with everything he has.

If you’ve spent any time in the gaming community with Jodi and Clint, you already know who they are. From conventions to game nights to their work in the industry, they didn’t just show up, they created space for people to belong. Jodi especially has always had a way of turning even the worst roll into something meaningful, her love of crit fails wasn’t about failure, it was about how those moments move the story forward.

And right now… this is one of those moments.

The reality is this fight carries weight far beyond the hospital. Travel, extended care, day-to-day living expenses, and time unable to work add up fast. Looking ahead, their home will also need to be retrofitted so Jodi can safely return. The last thing they should have to face is losing the home their girls, Bethany and Trinity, grew up in simply because it cannot meet Jodi's needs.

Jodi has spent years giving everything she had, through Pinnacle, through Carolina Game Tables, and through this community. She’s been the one holding things together, organizing, leading, and making it all work behind the scenes.

Now it’s our turn to step in.

Clint is carrying everything right now, fighting for Jodi, staying by her side, and trying to manage life outside the hospital. We may not be able to stand beside them in person, but we can show up in a real way.

A GoFundMe (Link in comments so it doesn't throttle the reach) has been set up to help support them through this. If you’ve been asking how to help, this is one way to help carry the weight so it doesn’t become something that crushes them.

If you’re able to give, give.
If you can share, share.
If you can only send prayers, strength, or support please do.

They’ve built a community that shows up. Now they need us to be that for them.

Let’s rally and remind them they’re not in this alone.

We love you guys so much.
