Shut Up Let's Talk

Posting this in hopes that it'll inspire somebody when they need it. This was a big deal for me 🤣 I put together my first guitar on Christmas this year.

Before I bore you with the technical stuff, please don't be afraid to try some new things and take a chance. Make sure you listen to all the annoying people that criticize you and then immediately toss their opinions in the trash. Drilling holes in a guitar body and soldering was an intimidating thing for me, but you gotta go for it in the name of fun.

I've been doing my best to learn guitar maintenance techniques for the last couple of years and this really made me apply a lot of of that knowledge. The trickiest part was grounding the pickups after wiring them. I believe I wired the output jack backwards, which will still give you sound, but will cause the strings to buzz when you touch them. Another tip is to get a decent soldering iron that gets pretty hot and to make sure you tin the wires and the tip of your iron.
