Dear Sensei and respected coaches of the South Florida community and USA Karate Region 6:

Warm greetings to all. We sincerely appreciate the guidance provided regarding the coaching certification program and would like to share this important information in a spirit of unity, growth, and commitment to our sport.

As indicated, the Level 1 Course is intended for local and regional coaches and will be a required certification for all coaches wishing to work at local tournaments beginning in 2027. It is also the mandatory first step in order to advance later to Level 2 and Level 3 certifications.

In this regard, the Miami Open Karate Tournament, in cooperation with the USA Karate Federation, is honored to provide this great opportunity for our coaching community to complete the Level 1 Course during our event. This is a valuable chance to prepare now, strengthen professional credentials, and continue raising the level of competitive karate in our region.

Afterward, coaches may continue their development by taking Level 2 (National Level) and Level 3 (Elite Level) courses at the USA Open or National Championships. Likewise, any coach wishing to work at the USA Senior Team Trials in January 2027 must hold a Level 3 certification, making it essential to begin this process now.

We enthusiastically invite all coaches, regardless of experience, to take advantage of this important opportunity. Continued preparation, professional development, and unity within our community will be key to the growth of our athletes, our schools, and the USA Karate Federation.

Important information: all interested participants should visit Tournament in the Box to register and confirm participation:

With respect and enthusiasm, we look forward to everyone’s participation as we continue building a strong and successful future for karate in our region.
