It’s that time of year again!! Find your sugar pumpkins, cut off the top, cut in half and scrape out the guts…sprinkle with cinnamon, allspice, ginger, nutmeg and cloves. Add one stick of butter and a cup of water to the crockpot…cook on low for 6 hours. Remove the meat from the skin and process in a food processor until smooth. Now you have yourself some real pumpkin for breads, pies and tarts 😀
Post-Covid 20?? I don’t know about you, but I did a very slow slide back to my old eating patterns…comfort food eating and I am in desperate need to get back to where I was! This week I plan to explore recipes, healthy alternatives to my favorites, for summer.
