This boy has been working hard for 9 months he still has some learning to do. But his handler has been doing a fantastic job following through with his training. Pictures are of an outing outside the round up grounds videos will post later he worked on ignoring distractions while heeling, working on stays, and relaxing with all the caos, he did amazing. Calm and confident.

Class started last week and these pups are learning so quickly but so much more importantly so are their owners. These pictures are from week one and two.

It's that time of the year again, Summer. We all know it is starting to get hot. We can make changes to our lives to make this change in temperature a bit more enjoyable. Our dogs rely on us to make those changes for them.
I see many dogs out on walks and enjoying the sunshine doing many other activities. But if the asphalt is too hot for you to walk around barefoot neither should your dog. A great alternative is playing in the grass, though my personal favorite being boots. I have linked my favorite brand below. If neither of these are good options for you another would be find a pet friendly store and go on a walk there places like homedepot, petsence, D&B, ect... (always ensure the places you choose is pet friendly.) Always make sure you take plenty of water for your dog.

The last thing I will say is do not shave your dog. This can actually worsen your dogs ability to adjust to the heat. Causing sunburns and stopping your dog from being able to regulate their temperature. Believe it or not your dogs giant coat works as an insulator for your dog not only keeping them warm during the winter but keeping them cool during the summer. (This does not apply to breeds that require regular haircuts such as poodles, schnauzers, ect...)
