Last week, we saved native passionfruit (Passiflora virginiana) seeds with the BUG students. In addition to supporting native bees and butterflies, this vine produces beautiful flowers and tasty fruits, which are great for learning wet-process seed saving.

Seeds fermented for three days to loosen them from the flesh of the fruits. Students washed and decanted the seeds, and we dried them on an old window screen. Swipe to see the process and stay tuned to see if we have seedlings for sale in the spring!
