Made with Intention đź’Ś
A look at the sustainability behind our products ♻️
..

As we enter into Plastic Free July, I wanted to take a moment to share something that sits at the heart of everything I make: a genuine, ongoing commitment to sustainability, all year, every year.

The early days of the pandemic underscored how much waste is embedded in everyday systems of making and consuming, so I set out to do things differently, with slow intention and deliberate decision-making guiding my process.
...

How We Think About Sustainability:

Sustainability has always been central to my work, shaping everything I do. From sourcing materials to packaging design, I prioritize options that are recyclable, compostable, or made with minimal environmental impact. As an advocate for accessible sustainability, I include information with every order about materials and disposal, because I believe sustainable choices should feel empowering, not confusing.

I also want to be transparent: our business is not zero-waste. Some of our products, like our magnets and vinyl stickers, involve materials that aren't currently recyclable or compostable. Those choices were not made lightly. Non-recyclable, yes, but built for durability and long-term use. Sustainability, to me, is about thoughtful lifecycle design, not perfection. But I work hard to minimize impact wherever I can.
..

The Chain of Sustainability Behind Our Products:

When you shop our products, you're supporting a whole network of businesses working to reduce waste. Here's who we work with:

• Wisconsin Paper Mill - Recycled Materials
• Colorado Packaging Company - Recycled Materials
• Illinois Packaging Company - Compostable Materials
• Connecticut Swedish Dishcloth Company - Compostable Materials
..

Thank You for Being Part of This

When you choose our products, you're choosing goods made with genuine care: for craft, for quality, and for the planet. That matters deeply to me, and I don't take it for granted. Thank you as always for your support. It truly means the world.

With gratitude,
❤️ Kaitlin

One of the designs I was excited to launch last month was this one. A sweet and simple card with the message “with love from RVA” 📝

Soon after moving to Richmond in 2020, I started seeing the iconic “RVA” logo everywhere. It’s one of those things that feels connected to the Richmond identity, so I always knew I wanted to create a “with love from…” card that incorporated that design. I’m happy that through this card, a little piece of Richmond can travel across the miles.

These sweeties can be found in person at two local Richmond shops: in Bon Air (Richmond’s *only* refill shop and a stellar place to get so many zero- and low-waste goods for your home), and in Downtown Richmond (a *new* retailer for us!! offering gourmet Greek foods, groceries, baked goods, and gifts).

The design features the classic RVA logo and vintage images of plants that can grow in Richmond: blackberries, strawberries, and figs.

Available for retail and wholesale, link in bio. đź”—
