In Loving Memory of Charles Perry Jr.
April 29, 1936 – June 6, 2026

We honor the life and legacy of Charles Perry Jr. A devoted husband, father, veteran, public servant, and community leader who passed away on June 6, 2026.
Born in Grenada, Mississippi, Charles carried a deep sense of purpose and service throughout his life. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, embodying a lifelong commitment to duty and honor.
In 1974, he made Nevada his home, where he became a respected leader in both public service and healthcare. Charles served as an Assemblymember representing Henderson and contributed to numerous organizations, including the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Connections, Las Vegas HEALS, and the Nevada Healthcare Association. As a visionary leader, he helped shape healthcare access and policy across Southern Nevada.
He also founded the Perry Foundation, continuing his dedication to improving lives and strengthening the community. In recognition of his impact, he was named a Vegas Inc. Healthcare Headliner in 2015.
Above all, Charles was a family man. He shared 42 loving years with his wife, Judee Sp****la, and was a proud father to Charles C. Perry III, Robyn Hood, Amanda Smith, and Carrie Troutman. He is reunited in peace with his children Jody Perry and Robert Perry, and his brother Joe Perry. His legacy lives on through his nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Charles will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his community, and his country. His influence will continue to be felt for generations.
