Hello from Philadelphia! Last night the Foothill Wind Symphony had a phenomenal performance in Copeland Hall at the historic Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware. It is a truly remarkable venue and the students sounded fabulous!

☀️ PHILADELPHIA JULY 3 PARADE ROUTE SHORTENED; WORLD-CLASS LINEUP REMAINS ☀️

Due to extreme heat, the route for the Salute to Independence Semiquincentennial Parade in Philadelphia has been shortened from 2.4 miles to just over 1 mile to help ensure the safety and well-being of participants and spectators.

The parade will still begin Friday, July 3 at 12:00 PM at 5th & Chestnut Streets beside Independence Hall. The route then turns right onto 6th Street, passes the Liberty Bell, turns left onto Market Street and continues to City Hall, before turning left and ending near Broad & Chestnut Streets.

The excitement remains unchanged! More than 40 marching bands representing 18 U.S. states plus Puerto Rico, along with bands from Colombia, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Sweden, will take part in this historic celebration. An international lineup not to be missed! 🇺🇸🥁🎺

This is the nation's largest professionally produced Semiquincentennial (250th) celebration parade, featuring 250 elements representing all 50 states and U.S. territories as America commemorates its 250th birthday.
