Tonight we will combine one of your favorites "How Firm a Foundation" with a hymn new to our hymnbook "It Is Well with My Soul." We will discuss how the words and feelings behind the music has a powerful way of helping us through difficult times. When we come to know Jesus for ourselves and build our lives on His sure foundation, then no matter what happens we can confidently exclaim, "It is well with my soul."

Tonight in the Latter-day Hymns class, we will learn about (and sing) the Hymn "I Am A Child of God." We will discuss what The First Presidency had to say about the 1985 (Green) Hymnbook as well as what's going on with the new Hymnbook. You can fill out a survey of your Top 5 Hymns / Primary songs. From those Hymns, I'll plan lessons on who wrote them, the context of how it came about, and of course we will discuss the Christ-centered doctrine found in each of your favorite Hymns.
