This Independence Day carries special meaning as our nation celebrates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Today, we celebrate more than our history—we celebrate the enduring principles of liberty, opportunity, self-government, and the enduring belief that every generation has the responsibility to protect and strengthen the freedoms we enjoy.

We honor the courageous men who pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to establish a new nation. We also honor every generation that has followed—our veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and the countless Americans whose service, sacrifice, and hard work continue to shape our country.

For 250 years, America has remained a place where people from every walk of life have dreamed big, worked hard, built businesses, raised families, served their communities, and pursued a brighter future. That spirit of hope, resilience, and opportunity continues to define who we are.

As we gather with family and friends to celebrate this historic milestone, may we also recommit ourselves to being good neighbors, engaged citizens, and faithful stewards of the freedoms and opportunities we have been blessed to inherit. Together, we can ensure that the next generation inherits an America that is even stronger than the one we celebrate today.
