The Executive Board for the Henderson Police Officers Association officially endorsed Dr. Monica Larson for the Henderson City Council seat in Ward 2.
She is running against the incumbent Dan Shaw, who has been named in five predatory lending law suits in the last two years, and a sixth lawsuit accusing him of obtaining and misusing someone's personal information, including a social security number.
Shaw is also the subject of an investigation concerning whether or not he actually lives fulltime in Ward 2, or Henderson, or even in Nevada... which is required by law.
By comparison, Dr. Larson holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and a Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology with an emphasis in Crime Scene Investigations.
She has founded and captains her Neighborhood Watch Patrol, and she volunteered for four years at the Antioch Police department before she and her family moved to Henderson.
She is a strong supporter of Public Safety and of our first responders, which is why she was also endorsed by the Henderson Police Supervisors Association.
If you live in Ward 2, please consider voting for her in November.

Please answer the "Survey Question" at the end of this post...
Thank you in advance!
One day a few years ago, my biz partner and "brother from a different mother" Wade Seekatz, and I were brainstorming ideas on how to inspire our First Responders clients to tell their friends, family, and coworkers about us being real estate agents.
(Let's face it everyone knows or is related to a few real estate agents... and most agents are obnoxious, not very professional, or people you wouldn't trust further than you could throw them.)
We wanted to come up with something uncommon and unique that we hadn't heard of other agents doing, that would support our clients, and most of all it had to be relevant to them.
The things that the small number of great agents do for clients during the buying or selling process seemed pretty well
established, but the things being done for clients while they were homeowners seemed like the road less traveled by most agents.
So many cutting boards, steak knives, front doormats, edible arrangements, etc. have been given to clients by their agents, they are all cliche.
We took the premise that all agents wanted their clients to be successful buyers and sellers, because that's where the sales commission was earned.
But it occurred to us that not many agents cared if their clients were successful homeowners in demonstratable ways - outside of one time home warming gifts or calendar magnets to stick on the fridge.
This led us to thinking about how many homeowners fail to properly maintain their home's expensive systems like their HVAC, hot water heaters, security systems, etc.
We decided to do research on all of the systems in a home and figure out what would be different and relevant to our clients, and landed on maintaining HVAC systems... and the easiest way to do that was to consistently change their air filters.
So we personally deliver AC Filters to our clients multiple times a year.
Survey Question: Does the agent, who sold you your home, do that for you?

DID YOU KNOW TODAY IS NATIONAL UFO DAY?
Unidentified flying objects (UFOs), also known as unexplained aerial phenomena (UAPs), are objects or lights observed in the sky that cannot be identified as any known aircraft or natural phenomenon.
UFO sightings have been reported for centuries, but they have become more common in recent decades.
There are many different theories about the origins of UFOs. Some people believe that UFOs are spacecraft from other planets, while others believe that they are government secret weapons or even hallucinations.
However, there is no scientific evidence to support any of these theories.... OR IS THERE ?
The most likely explanation for UFO sightings is that they are misidentified aircraft or natural phenomena.
For example, a UFO sighting could be caused by a plane, a helicopter, a weather balloon, or even a flock of birds.
However, there are some UFO sightings that cannot be easily explained.
The US government has been investigating UFO sightings since the 1940s. In 2021, the US government released a report on UFO sightings, which stated that there is no evidence that UFOs are a threat to national security, but that more research is needed to understand their nature.
UFO sightings continue to be a source of fascination and mystery. While there is no scientific evidence to support the existence of extraterrestrial life, the possibility that UFOs could be spacecraft from other planets is captivating to many people.
Here are some additional facts about UFOs:
The first recorded UFO sighting was in 1440, when a group of people in Nuremberg, Germany, observed a group of black objects in the sky.
The term "UFO" was coined in 1952 by US Air Force Captain Edward J. Ruppelt.
The most famous UFO sighting is the Roswell incident, which occurred in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico. The US government initially claimed that the object that crashed in Roswell was a weather balloon, but later changed their story to say that it was a top-secret military project.
There are many different organizations that investigate UFO sightings, including the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS).
Did you that in 2020, the Pentagon released three videos that were taken by Navy pilots in 2004 and 2015 that showed unidentified flying objects (UFOs).
The videos were released in response to a Freedom of Information Act request from the New York Times.
The videos show objects that are flying at high speeds and that are moving in ways that are difficult to explain. The objects are also seen to disappear and reappear suddenly.
