The Tracksmith Eliot Ryder is a hug of a shoe, and it knows it.
Tracksmith’s first max-cushion trainer swaps its usual restraint for a 25mm slab of ATPU foam, wrapped in a firmer chassis for structure. The stitched suede overlays and gusseted tongue are the kind of detail you’d expect from a brand that builds one shoe per category instead of ten.
Our honest take: this one is scoped to a specific mile. If you want a plush, protected shoe for easy and recovery days, it delivers exactly that. Runners chasing pace underfoot will find it goes cumbersome fast, and the wide platform runs baggy through the midfoot for some.

Building on the Clifton franchise with HOKA’s PROGLIDE+ technologies, the Clifton Pro pairs a new SCF foam midsole with a more aggressive rocker than the standard Clifton, and adds Super Abrasion Rubber in the high-wear zones for durability. HOKA says the SCF foam delivers a livelier, more resilient ride.
