On behalf of AgriLife Bexar County, we want to congratulate 2 of our 4-H Volunteers Gary & Madelyn Schott! Both have dedicated over 35 years to empowering 4-H youth and strengthening their Helotes community. Their incredible service was honored with the **2026 Texas 4-H Salute to Excellence Leader Legacy Award**, and they’ll be recognized at the state level during Texas 4-H Roundup. Gary & Madelyn, thank you for all that you've done!
The Helotes Ag Booster Club and the Helotes 4-H Clubs are incredibly proud to celebrate Gary Schott and Madelyn Schott, who have been named 2026 Texas 4-H Salute to Excellence honorees, receiving the prestigious Leader Legacy Award at Texas 4-H Roundup on June 3.
For many years, Gary and Madelyn have been key to the success of the Helotes 4-H and the Helotes Ag Booster Club. They are key to our agricultural community through their dedication, leadership, servant hearts, and unwavering support of youth. Their impact has been felt by countless students, families, exhibitors, and volunteers, and this recognition is so well deserved.
We were honored to help celebrate them alongside our Helotes 4-H clubs, who surprised them with a special reveal during the End of Year party, making the moment even more meaningful and unforgettable.
Thank you, Gary and Madelyn, for everything you have poured into our kids, programs, and community over the years. The Helotes Ag Booster Club is truly blessed to have you both, and we are grateful for the example you continue to set for future generations. 💚
