This project has been over two years in the making, and it was such a joy to work on it alongside my husband. Together, we took a dated 1980s space—complete with mauve walls and brass-heavy chandeliers—and gave it new life with a warm, transitional design that honors the building’s unique past.

Livery Square has a rich history, once serving as an automobile shop, a gas station, and later had medical facilities. We preserved original features wherever possible, including exposing brick walls that tell their own story. The lighting was thoughtfully chosen to reflect wagon wheels, a nod to the building’s name and its early roots.

The artwork throughout the space is time-specific, highlighting vehicles of the era, and going back even further to horse drawn carriage days. Every detail was selected to reflect both the character of the space and the time it came from.

Outside, we commissioned a custom mural that visually captures the spirit and history of the building—bringing its story full circle for all who pass by.

All of this was accomplished on a modest budget, proving that thoughtful design, historical respect, and a lot of heart can truly transform a space.

Finito! After the quartz countertop and cabinetry were installed we refreshed with a gorgeous silvery sage paint in a satin finish. Added a Scandinavian style clock, white accessories and an oatmeal colored roman shade above the bathtub to soften the look.

Quartz countertops and new cabinetry were recently installed in my client’s house. The slab chosen was large enough to be cut for the main bath as well. We left the existing cabinets in that space, but updated the master bath cabinetry as well. A gorgeous outcome with a sophisticated feel. 🤍
