I was honored and pleased to be asked by the Association of Montana Troopers to be the first former Montana Attorney General to publish a message to the Troopers in the their Spring 2025 magazine. Serving with the Montana Highway Patrol was one of the best parts of my time as AG.

I was pleased to be asked to attend the swearing-in ceremony for the officers of the new Montana state Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). Congratulations to these new officers:

The Utah and Colorado FOP Lodges have been wonderful for all the assistance they've given to Montana law enforcement officers and their families in their time of need. I'm excited to see the great things that the Montana FOP Lodge will do for Montana LEO's and their families. Oh, and I'll be joining the Montana Lodge. Thank you FOP for supporting our LEO's and their families.

I miss my annual gentlemen's wager with over the Griz-Cat football game. Senator Daines was gracious to wear a Griz sweatshirt, a Griz neck tie, and to have Griz bumper stickers on his pick-up truck in years past.
