Started out working on a panda illustration and it slowly morphed into other bears, then while moving some features and shading around a wild DOGE appeared.

When I was younger I remember seeing a whole sheet of stickers in a magazine as an ad campaign for a sports shoe. I want to say it was Nike but I can’t be sure. All I can recall is that where there were a bunch of animals/monsters with vibrant colors. Once I had the initial “sketch” for this idea I knew what direction I wanted to take right away... Now for the rest of the story! One night while I was out with my siblings for their volleyball tournament I picked up my beer can and underneath was a perfect circle. I just kind of mindlessly drew lines one at a time until I saw a creature forming and eventually this little one-eyed rabbit appeared. @ Taylor Mill, Kentucky

This portrait was commissioned by a friend, in memory of Devan. It means a lot that people would put so much trust in me to honor their friend’s memory in this way.

I was approached with the task of illustrating a friend of a client who had recently passed away. Knowing that it was a very sensitive time for them I wanted to make sure I did everything I could to get the piece as accurate as possible. I’m glad I could do my part in creating a piece in memory of Cheikh.
