A second chance really can change everything. 💖

Through the American Humane Society’s Second Chance® Grant program, shelters and rescues receive critical funding to help animals recover from cruelty, neglect and injury and get the medical care they so deserve.

Animals like Jack Sparrow, a young tabby who vanished from his outdoor colony and returned weeks later with a serious injury.

Through a Second Chance® Grant, American Humane Society intervened to help ensure Jack received the surgery, medications and ongoing care he needed to heal. What started as a fight for survival ended with the cutest three-legged house cat who never stops purring.
