I was speaking to a home builder the other day, he was talking about how he hasn’t bought anything on credit in a long time.

He went on to say, the one thing he made sure he spent money on, was a bookkeeper. Someone to keep his financial paperwork in order. It made it seamless to turn into the accountant monthly.

The accountant helps with the advice on how to run the business, NOT on credit.

They’re running jobs, answering phones, dealing with employees, ordering supplies, chasing payments, trying to have a life… and bookkeeping keeps getting pushed to “later.”

Then later turns into:

• no idea where the money actually went

Honestly, most business owners don’t need judgment.
