It’s important to remember that electrical equipment can carry more voltage than regular home electronics. Since this can increase the risk of electric shock or even death, it’s a smart move to let us take care of repairs.

Is the motor on a key piece of equipment running hot? If so, it can be a sign the machine is overloaded or the voltage being supplied to the motor is too high, too low, or varying unpredictably.

MIG welders use a wire welding electrode on a spool that is fed automatically at a constant pre-selected speed. The arc (created by an electric current between the base metal and the wire) melts the wire and joins it together with the base to create the weld.

If you’re planning to take on a welding project unlike anything you’ve done before, you may not know exactly which supplies are best for the job. First and foremost, let’s discuss the types of metal you’ll be welding and go from there.

If the starter fuse is too small, your arc welder will blow a circuit when it is turned on. The fuse should be two or three times that of the motor current rating. If this does not correct the problem, check the starter and motor leads.

While you may have someone on your maintenance crew who can troubleshoot any electrical issues in your building, they’ll eventually need time off. If you can’t wait until vacation’s over to deal with electrical equipment problems, we’re happy to fill in.
