Is the motor on a key piece of equipment running hot? If so, it can be a sign the machine is overloaded or the voltage being supplied to the motor is too high, too low, or varying unpredictably.

If the starter fuse is too small, your arc welder will blow a circuit when it is turned on. The fuse should be two or three times that of the motor current rating. If this does not correct the problem, check the starter and motor leads.
