The map is posted by 6am DAILY. We will also be posting the picture of the map here by 7am daily. The map below is for today 5/11/26. Steele County is in an Extreme Category and Traill County is in the Very High Category. Both Counties have triggered their Burn Ban. NO BURNING IN EITHER COUNTY TODAY.

Fire danger today ranging from Moderate to Extreme across the state, with a Fire Weather Watch issued by the US National Weather Service Bismarck in place for tomorrow in the NW.

IF you can burn today, stay with your burn piles until totally extinguished AND COOLED as piles can and do reignite in winds days later.
