The 2025- 2026 JC Thompson Elementary PTA Board will hold a Special Membership Meeting on June 29th, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. for the purpose of considering a proposed amendment to the 2026-2027 PTA budget.

Members will be asked to consider changing the 'Popsicles at the Park' budget line item to 'Back to School Bash,' increasing the expense allocation by $700, and increasing projected fundraising income by $700.

Who’s ready for a summer celebration?! ☀️ Bring the family out to the Mayor's Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trinity Park Pavilion 4 near Dream Park.

Enjoy fun activities, grab a snow cone while supplies last and meet firefighters, police officers and other City of Fort Worth friends. Summer Kickoff is free and open to the public.

Special events include:
• A sensory friendly story time for children with sensory sensitivities at 10 a.m.
• A free concert by amplify817 artist TRVR? at 1 p.m.
