I know that getting a weekly or monthly massage may not be in everyone's budget, but making yourself a priority is absolutely necessary. But it doesn't always have to cost anything.

Something as simple as taking a nap on a Tuesday, sending the kids to a play date and watching your favorite movie, wearing make-up after not having time in 2 years, calling your best friend you haven't spoken to in forever, taking 2 hours to read your favorite book, hit the gym, take a walk, go fishing, build a birdhouse, finish a sewing project you love, take yourself out to dinner, soak in a hot bath for an hour, get a massage, or pedicure or a manicure, have your hair done professionally.

Some of these have a cost and some are free. But anything that is important to YOU (not someone else's idea of self care) is absolutely essential.

Makng yourself a priority is no different than breathing air. Self care is not a luxury, it is an essential part of life. And self care looks completely different to everyone.

God loves you and so do I.

Make time for yourself. Self care is absolutely a MUST. Whether massage, pedicures, dinner out, gardening....whatever makes you happy....DO IT. You can not continue to spend from your emotional and physical bank account if you don't make regular deposits.....

And especially especially especially for those of us that give, give, give of ourselves to others....we have to reinvest in ourselves or we become depleted and will eventually lose the ability and capacity to do for others.

Love yourself. You are worth it.
