🚨💔 EMERGENCY RESCUE: MEET BANKS 💔🚨

This tiny kitten's name is Banks, and at only 8 weeks old, he has already used up one of his nine lives.

Like so many homeless kittens, Banks was simply searching for warmth and safety. Hungry, vulnerable, and alone, he found what seemed like the perfect hiding spot beneath the hood of a parked car.

What he didn't know was that his safe place would soon become a nightmare.

The driver likely never knew he was there as they started their vehicle and traveled down a busy highway. Somewhere along the journey, Banks fell out.

One moment he was hidden away in the warmth of an engine compartment. The next, he was tumbling onto the side of a highway surrounded by speeding vehicles.

Terrified. Injured. Alone.

By nothing short of a miracle, a Good Samaritan spotted a tiny white-and-orange puffball near the roadway and stopped traffic to save him.

That miracle is why Banks is alive today.

Banks is now receiving emergency veterinary care for severe road rash covering one side of his body and significant injuries to his ear, which may ultimately need to be amputated. He is lethargic, scared, and in pain, but he is fighting.

He is currently hospitalized under 24-hour veterinary supervision and will move to a medical foster home once his veterinarians determine he is stable enough.

The reality is that cases like this are heartbreaking—and expensive. Emergency medical care, medications, wound treatment, and follow-up care quickly add up. But when we look at Banks, we don't just see an injured kitten.

We see a life worth saving.

We see the playful, happy cat he deserves the chance to become.

❤️ If you would like to help Banks on his road to recovery, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.

Sadly, Banks is the 7th kitten we have taken in with car-related injuries this kitten season alone.

Please spay and neuter your pets. Please check under your vehicle before driving. And please keep Banks in your thoughts tonight.

Just hours ago, he was lying injured beside a busy highway.

Tonight, he is safe.

Now we need your help to make sure he has a future. 🧡🐾

Just when we thought our little fighter was finally turning a corner, Trunklette reminded us that recovery is rarely a straight line—

For those who haven't been following her journey, Trunklette came into our care after being hit by a car. She arrived with severe head trauma, as well as some physical injuries. The incredible team at Lake Hartwell Veterinary Clinic immediately stepped up and worked tirelessly to save her life.

A week later, Trunklette nearly lost her battle when her blood sugar dropped dangerously low. After emergency treatment, she quickly bounced back to what had become her "normal."

But just a few days later, she stopped eating entirely. 💔

Since then, her veterinary team has searched tirelessly for answers. Every single diagnostic test failed to reveal a clear cause for her decline. With other possibilities ruled out, her veterinarians have made the decision to start treatment for dry FIP, a devastating disease that can present in countless different ways and is often diagnosed by excluding other illnesses.

This treatment is truly a last-ditch effort, and it is an expensive medication, but this is the choice that we needed to make. This medication costs us over $300, but if this is her miracle, we will pay any amount. ❤️‍🩹

Through every setback, Trunklette's foster mom has never stopped fighting for her and together with our veterinary team, she has poured everything she has into giving Trunklette a chance.

The most important thing to know is that our veterinarians do not believe Trunklette is ready to give up.

So neither are we.

In the comments, you'll find a video of Trunklette with her foster mom. Despite everything she's endured, this little kitten is still here. Still fighting... Still purring with her whole chest! 💓

Please keep Trunklette in your thoughts and prayers. Send every bit of love, hope, and healing energy you can spare. We know this road is uncertain, but we also know that this tiny fighter has surprised us before.

And we're hopeful that she'll do it again. 🖤🐾
