Please join us in congratulating Myri Ayala '25, Kaila Dowd '25 and Meti Habtegiorgis '25 on being chosen for the Trinity Technology and Leadership Internship. They were selected from a pool of strong candidates after a successful interview. In fact, the pool of candidates was so strong that we decided to expand the internship and accept 3 students.

Myri, Kaila and Meti will work closely with the LITS team (Kristen Eshleman and Johnny Inghilterra) and Ewa Syta, Associate Professor and Chair of Computer Science during this semester to gain technical skills in cybersecurity and related areas as well as leadership experience. We are sure that they will be able to contribute to LITS and the Trinity community during their internship.

2021 Computer Science Awards

Congratulations to Alisa Levin ’21 and Rahul Mitra ‘21, winners of the 2021 Travelers Companies Foundation Senior Research Prize for their project entitled "A Real-Time Object Detection Aid for the Visually Impaired". This prize is awarded to student(s) whose senior research project in the field of computer science has been deemed the most outstanding by an independent board chosen from Trinity faculty and The Travelers staff.

Congratulations to Fede G. Cedolini ‘22, winner of the 2021 Ralph E. Walde Prize in Computer Science. This prize was established to honor Professor Ralph E. Walde, Professor of Computer Science, and one of the founding members of the Computer Science Department. The prize recognizes a rising senior computer science major who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in computer science. The recipient is chosen by a vote of the Computer Science Department faculty.

Congratulations to Bettina King-Smith ‘21, winner of the 2021 Ralph A. Morelli Prize in Computer Science. This prize was established to honor Professor Ralph E. Walde, Professor of Computer Science, and one of the founding members of the Computer Science Department. The prize recognizes a rising senior computer science major who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in computer science. The recipient is chosen by a vote of the Computer Science Department faculty.

Congratulations to Gabby Rogers ’21, winner, and Alisa Levin ’21, Rahul Mitra ’21, and Erica Bates ’21, runners-up, of the 2021 Senior Poster Award. These awards are given to the seniors judged to have the best computer science posters displayed during the Annual Science Symposium.

Congratulations to Rahul Mitra ‘21 and Will Estony ‘21, winners of the 2021 Bronzell Dinkins Senior Service Award. This award was established in memory of Bronzell Dinkins (1946-2004), Visiting Laboratory Instructor in Computer Science, to recognize a senior for exceptional service to the Computer Science Department.

Also, congratulations to Giles Lemmon ‘21, Will Estony ‘21, and Erkin Verbeek ‘21 for receiving Honorable Mention for the 2021 Travelers Companies Foundation Senior Research Prize. The recipients for these awards are chosen by the Computer Science Department faculty.
