The need for action has never been more urgent.
Connecticut's Workforce Development Boards, including Capital Workforce Partners, are confronting an unprecedented federal workforce funding cliff as significant federal investments are reduced or eliminated—placing critical workforce training, career navigation, and employment services at risk just as demand continues to grow.
Thousands of Connecticut residents, including many newly subject to SNAP work requirements and time limits, are turning to the workforce system for the training, skills, and support needed to achieve economic independence, while employers continue searching for qualified talent. Connecticut has an opportunity to act by investing in the workforce system that strengthens businesses, expands opportunity, and builds a more competitive economy for everyone.
