CT State Capital is gearing up for our next cohort of paramedics! Applications for the fall β€œday” program open on June 1, 2026.

Please note, the paramedic program participates in the Connecticut State Community College selective admissions process and eligible applicants must hold current EMT certification and the additional credentials noted here: https://ctstate.edu/admissions-registration/how-to-apply/selective-admissions -studies-certificatecampuses:-capital

To guarantee a spot in cohort 68, prospective students are encouraged to apply before June 30, 2026. Applicants who miss the selective admissions deadline will be offered a spot on the waitlist and/or, may choose the option to defer admission until the next cohort that begins in January 2027 (our night program that meets on Tue/Thur evenings).

EMS1001 is open to both ALS & BLS providers and for recent graduates, fulfills 9 credits towards completion of the AS-Paramedicine degree πŸŽ“

🚨 Attention, all Capital Community College Paramedic Program Alumni! 🚨

2026 will mark 40 years (🀯) since the first cohort of Capital Paramedics graduated from the Saint Francis Hospital / Hartford State Technical College EMS education partnership.

65 cohorts and nearly 1,500 graduates later, we are gearing up to celebrate numerous milestones in 2026! One exciting highlight will include the ongoing renovations to our new state-of-the-art EMS lab πŸš‘

The ask: Help us decorate our new space!

In addition to dedicated classroom, laboratory, and simulation space, there will be a collaborative area where students can learn about the history of the program. We are hoping to collect:
