Fun day! Busy Orange Community Farmers' Market this afternoon - picked up some great looking *local* leafy greens and other veggies and goodies (not pictured: the cookies and popcorn that we ate immediately!)
Tonight it was a packed house in Seymour for a Bingo fundraiser for the Woodbridge Regional Animal Control - great to see such community support for an organization that does so much for so many.

Four years ago I helped secure $2M for this project, and on Saturday I was thrilled to join the Woodbridge community to celebrate the soft opening of the new Community and Cultural Center. It’s even better than I had hoped and will be an incredible addition to the entire area.

Message from the Chief of Police: Flood Watch Advisory
Dear Residents,
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for our area. While flooding is not currently occurring, weather conditions indicate that flooding is possible. We encourage everyone to take this advisory seriously and prepare now in case conditions worsen.
Please take the following precautions:
●Stay informed by monitoring local weather forecasts and emergency alerts.
● Avoid driving through flooded roadways. Even shallow water can be dangerous and may hide damage beneath the surface.
● Clear storm drains and gutters around your property if it is safe to do so.
● Secure outdoor furniture, trash cans, and other loose items that could be carried away by rising water.
●If you live in a flood-prone area, review your emergency plan and be prepared to move to higher ground if a Flood Warning is issued.
● Charge your cell phones and keep flashlights, batteries, medications, and other emergency supplies readily available.
● Never walk through floodwaters, as they may be deeper or faster-moving than they appear and could contain hidden hazards.
Our police department, along with our fire department and public works department, is actively monitoring conditions and is prepared to respond as needed. We will continue to provide updates through our official communication channels.
If you encounter a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. For non-emergency concerns, please contact the police department's non-emergency number.
Your safety is our highest priority. By preparing now and exercising caution, we can help protect our families, neighbors, and community. Thank you.
