Victory Weekend

The influence God has given us is not to be used only to shine light in the
lives of unbelievers but also to encourage others who are walking the same
path we are. All parts of your body are interdependent. Even your little toe
is important—it enhances your balance, as do the tiny, unseen hairs in your
inner ear. Every part of the body adds to the effective function of the whole.
You, my friend, are part of the body of Christ. Our lives our intertwined, just
as parts of our physical bodies depend on each other.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging
one another—all the more as you see the Day approaching.

It’s a modern word. Influencers. We don’t hear Jesus using it in the Scriptures,
but this was His mission, and He made it the mission of every one of His
followers. Why was Jesus sent? To redeem the world. To save it and bring it
back to God. After His death and resurrection, He told His disciples, “The
Father sent me, and I’m sending you out to be my witnesses all over the
earth.”

As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the
darkness into his wonderful light.
