JMU Youth Programs is hiring Science Explorers Camp Counselors for two upcoming camps this July! Gain hands-on experience working with youth, build leadership and problem-solving skills, and make a lasting impact on young learners through engaging STEM activities.

- July 20–24 (Rising 5th–8th graders)
- July 27–31 (Rising 1st–4th graders)
- 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. daily
- Starting at $15.50/hour (higher pay available for CPR certification or experience working with youth with disabilities)

Counselors must attend a mandatory paid training on July 7 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Interested? Email [email protected] to learn more and apply.

From STEM challenges and space exploration to dance, dinosaurs, and arts and crafts, campers will explore new interests while having fun and making friends along the way. Programs are available for rising K–6th grade students June 8–12, 2026 at JMU’s King Hall and Engeo Buildings.

⚔️ Ready to learn the exciting sport of Olympic fencing? Join our Youth Olympic Fencing Camps this summer at JMU! 🏅
Campers will build confidence, focus, and strategy skills while learning épée fencing in a safe and fun environment. Whether your student is brand new to fencing or ready for advanced techniques, we have a camp for them! 🤺

🗓 June 22–26, 2026
☀️ Beginner Camp: 9 AM–12 PM
⚡ Intermediate Camp: 1 PM–4 PM

👨‍🏫 Led by experienced instructor Will Brown, former USA Fencing competitor and longtime JMU Youth Programs instructor.
