Gods word is the only "truth". It's not to be altered to fit personal opinions. The Word is not to picked thru like a buffet seeking scriptures that back your beliefs while ignoring the whole. The Bible is completely true or its completely false.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a good workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

When God told Adam, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof "THOU SHALL SURLY DIE". God knew that Adam would eat of the forbidden tree by saying "for in the day that thou eatest thereof" (not IF you eat thereof) thou shall surly die. When satan tempted Eve he decieved her by changing one word of God command, thou shall NOT surly die. That one word changed the course of history and put a sin nature on every man and women born from that time on. What is the sin nature? How are we free from it?
