So, you’re selling your home and you have a signed contract on it. The buyer wants to have it inspected. Here is a helpful tip to make the process go smoother for everyone involved: Make sure that the inspector can see all the plumbing underneath your kitchen sink and bathroom vanity. I have moved towels, hair dryers, lotions and potions to inspect the plumbing. However, I’m not always comfortable doing it.

Friendly Reminder: Disconnect those garden hoses. Even if it is a freeze proof faucet, water left in the hose that fills the faucet will freeze and burst the faucet.

If you have foundation vents that close, now is the time to close or cover them. Open them up next spring.
