Due to high demand, Westchester County DEF is adding two more spring compost giveaway events!! Any Westchester resident can register to receive two 1-cubic foot bags of compost for their garden! Simply sign up at the link below and drive-thru the pick up site at your allotted time to have DEF staff load pre-bagged compost into your car. It’s super easy!

Luckily one of the compost giveaway events (at the Household Material Recovery Facility in Valhalla on 5/20) is the same location, date and time when you can pick up items purchased online through the Westchester County rain barrel and compost bin sale! The county is selling everything you need to participate in Harrison’s FREE food scrap recycling program at discounted prices! So be sure to order online and pick up your supplies when you go pick up your free compost! It’s a win win!
