Tonight, the voters have spoken, and while this wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, I respect their decision. I’m grateful to everyone who supported our campaign. We’ll continue working for our community and the values we share. Congratulations to my opponents who are moving to the runoff.

I want to remind everyone that I am the only candidate in this race with a proven voting record that stands up for the values of our communities and District 5. I voted against wind turbines to protect our land and way of life. I’ve worked to increase funding for our rural fire departments so our families and property stay safe. I’ve also pushed for new and better ways to improve our roads and local infrastructure.

I strongly support economic growth right here in District 5, while always keeping our agriculture base front and center. Our farmers and ranchers are the backbone of this community, and I will always fight for them.
