The next Quorum Court meeting will be Monday, July 13th at 5:30 p.m. It will be held in the courtroom of Annex 2 at 108 N. East St. in Harrisburg. The agenda is below.

The Quarterly Intergovernmental meeting will be in Trumann at the Old Community Center on July 7th. It will start at 11:00 a.m.

Intergovernmental Meetings are for County/City officials and other community leaders to discuss issues and concerns related to Poinsett County. This is a public meeting although public comment time is determined by the board.

Poinsett County offices will close at noon on Thursday, July 2nd and be closed all day on Friday, July 3rd to observe Independence Day. Happy 250th Birthday America!

It is with profound sadness that we honor the life and sacrifice of Officer Trevor Howard of the Marked Tree Police Department, who lost his life in a motor vehicle crash while serving the citizens of Marked Tree early this morning.

Today, we stand with Officer Howard’s family, friends, brothers and sisters in blue, and the entire Marked Tree community as we grieve this heartbreaking loss.
