Today, the House Democrats passed a bill that would raid $30 million from the Property Tax Relief Fund. At a time when too many Pennsylvania families are already struggling to make ends meet, I was proud to vote against this bill that, if signed into law, would drive up property taxes even further.

I want to make affordability a reality for all Pennsylvanians. This bill would NOT have achieved that.

Today, I joined fellow members to celebrate the Y's 175th anniversary. We also marked 80 years of the YMCA’s Youth and Government program, which has provided thousands of high schoolers with unique civic opportunities and cultivated future generations of leaders in our Commonwealth. Here’s to many more years of the Y!

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. Wishing everyone a reflective and meaningful Memorial Day.
