Check it out; signing a contract is a commitment, but so is working that job for $10 an hour for 10 years or going to college for the 4 years you are there and then the remaining time it takes you to pay off your student loans. Once you serve you never go back to just being a civilian. You now hold the status of a Veteran. No one can change that. It comes with a network of government personnel who are there with you for the remainder of your time on earth. So, when people say it’s a commitment and a big change, it really is and it’s worth every minute of the last 8 years because of how much better off I am today. Not everyday was a good, but the good, definitely outweighs the bad.
