Your presence is all that is required. š
Recognize that the mess is a privilege.
This is the first Holiday season we have been HOME and together (reel video from 2023, inpatient waiting for heart transplant).
The lessons from past years ring stronger than ever⦠in past years I WISHED we could just make a big mess with lots of toys in the living room, and just hang out all day. Together.
And for the first time, we can.
Donāt rush to clean up the paper, let them play with every toy, let it stay out. The dishes can wait.
Instead of trying to busy, just sit on the couch or ground with some coffee and soak it up.
Be as present as you can for the mess. Its amazing.
2019 we fought additional opinions from hospitals across the country, repeatedly receiving bad news; her original diagnosis day was Nov 21st
2020 Home but severely declining
