It is with sadness that we learned of the death of Benoît Herr, Deputy Mayor of Joigny. In that role, he served as the representative for the Hanover-Joigny exchange, as well as Joigny's sister cities in Germany and England. Mr. Herr was a true friend to Hanover for many years and a supporter of cultural friendships. In December, he hosted the Hanover town manager Julia Griffin. At the Sister City event, he delivered an inspirational speech calling for international understanding. The Yonne Républicaine newspaper published this article about Mr. Herr.
