🚁 FAA Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) Alert for Drone Pilots This Weekend 🚁

If you're planning to fly in the South Central Pennsylvania or Northern Maryland area this weekend, be aware that a large FAA Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) has been issued and will impact drone operations.

⚠️ TFR Active:
📅 June 19, 2026 – June 21, 2026
🕒 Begins Friday at 3:45 PM EDT
🕖 Ends Sunday at 7:00 PM EDT

The restricted area covers a large portion of the region and affects recreational and Part 107 drone pilots alike.

Important:
❌ Do not assume your normal flying location is open.
❌ LAANC approval does NOT override a TFR.
❌ Flying inside the restricted area without authorization can result in FAA enforcement action.

Before every flight: ✅ Check your flight apps for current restrictions
✅ Review NOTAMs and TFRs
✅ Complete a pre-flight airspace check
