It has been a much needed rainy week here, bit relaxing but we managed to pull through and get some projects worked on. The 1969 Dodge dart got a brand new coat of semi orange paint, looks brand new! Brakes and drums were installed on the 1977 Ford F100, some were seized and needed a lot more patience to be removed and replace. The 1959 Dodge D-100 hood was painted last week, but was buffed and polished this week. Backing plates were installed on the 1963 Ford F100, The 1971 Chevrolet Step-side had its frame blasted and core support blasted, The cab and doors were picked up from the blaster in Macon, Shout out to in Macon. On our 1976 Ford Mustang we installed the header, hood and scoop and we are currently prepping the engine to break in the cam. We started up the 1973 Pontiac Firebird, adjusted the nose panel and front panel and installed front valance. The 1981 Mercedes had the hood and doors stripped and some spots welded on the hood for body work. Lastly the Porsche 365 had some rocker panels installed. The Bronco made it to Round Rock and Austin this week, next stop is Dallas! Again with another raining weekend, hopefully it holds out to attends some awesome cars shows this weekend! Lafayette, GA is holding their Honey Bee Festival and Car show Downtown, 8am-3pm. Monroe, GA is having the Generous Warren Masonic Lodge Car and Truck Show At Monroe Automotive 10am-2pm. The shop ran as smooth as it could be when our fearless leader was recovering up north, We kept up with the projects around us going, Starting with the front end suspension assembly on the 1972 Blazer. The 1962 Pontiac tempest had some window tracks and regulators put on both driver said and passenger. The 1949 GMC truck fender is in final prime and the 1979 Chevrolet C10 had its fenders and hood in primer. A 1971 Chevrolet C10 step side had the rear and front suspension removed from the frame. The 1965 Ford thunderbird had the passenger side quarter panel complete and now working on the drivers side trunk pan extension. The 1965 mustang has been painted and being put together. Last put not least, there is some carburetor work being done on the 1957 Chevy Belair. There maybe a few car shows this weekend, or not with the rain coming in, Our Car show has been canceled for this weekend May 9th. Blue Ridge is having their 28th Annual Car show in Downtown Blue Ridge 9am-4pm. There is a the NE Georgia Swap meet at the Habersham County Fairgrounds. 8am-1pm.
