We had such a sweet first week of our summer preschool sessions at Soundside Meadow Day School! ☀️
Our Little Builders, Big Machines week was full of building, creating, exploring, teamwork, and lots of imaginative play. From construction-themed activities to hands-on projects, the children had so much fun learning through play.

A special thank you to Tyler Goss with Goss Land Worx and Raymond Lewellyn with R&M Lewellyn Construction for bringing big machines for the children to explore! We are so grateful for community helpers who take the time to make learning exciting, hands-on, and memorable for our preschoolers. 🚜💛

☀️ Summer Spotlight: NC State Extension Master Gardener volunteers, Pender County🌸🐝

This summer, we’re looking back with so much gratitude at the wonderful community helpers who made this past school year so special!

Today’s Summer Spotlight is for the amazing Master Gardeners of Pender County who visited Soundside Meadow Day School this spring. They spent time planting with our students and teaching them all about pollinators, gardens, and the important role bees, plants. and other helpers play in nature.

The children loved getting their hands in the soil, planting grass seed, and learning in such a hands-on, meaningful way. Experiences like this are exactly what make early childhood learning so magical — real-world, joyful, messy, and full of wonder.

Thank you to the Master Gardeners for sharing your time, knowledge, and love of gardening with our little learners. You helped plant more than flowers — you planted curiosity. 🌱💛
