“When 💩 Happens!” 🤣🐷🍅

One of my pig pastures has turned into an accidental garden, and I’ve been enjoying every minute of it.

Right now, I have what looks like 500 volunteer tomato plants growing out there, along with several varieties of squash. Every time I walk by, I can’t help but laugh knowing my pigs are the ones who planted it all.

Twice a week, we pick up thousands of pounds of organic produce that would otherwise go to waste, and the pigs get it as a special treat. Apparently, they’ve been doing a little seed distribution service of their own. 😆

It’s a pretty good reminder that healthy soil, organic matter, and a little help from livestock can create some amazing things. What started as pig pasture is now looking more like a vegetable garden.

Talk about fertile ground! 🌱🐷🍅

Wishing he was here to celebrate all the wins and hug me through the losses. Missing my dad today. Grateful for all the memories and the love. ❤️

April kept us on our toes… and then some.

We spent most of the month battling drought, watching the forecast like hawks, and putting seed in the ground—whether we liked the odds or not.

In between that, we brought beef home from the processor and rolled straight into our first chicken processing of 2026…

…and somewhere in the middle of it all, we had sows farrowing and welcomed a new piglets 🐖✨

We also started truly utilizing our walk-in freezer which has been AMAZING 💕

At the same time, we’ve been pushing hard to finish up the exterior of our farm store… all while working behind the scenes on a pretty big expansion project.

It’s been a lot.

So truly—thank you for your patience. And thank you even more for showing up the way you do every time we restock. It never goes unnoticed 🤍

You’re the reason we keep pushing, even when it feels a little crazy.

Maybe one day this will all be “done”… and I’ll just be out here feeding chickens and collecting eggs 😜
