Happy 250th!

As we mark the United States’ 250th anniversary, we celebrate the movement builders who have transformed . Among them is Dr. Dorothy Irene Height, a leader whose work with the YWCA and the National Council of Negro Women helped advance racial justice, women’s empowerment, and community resilience.

For nearly four decades, Dr. Height dedicated her life to expanding opportunity, uniting communities, and pushing institutions to live up to the ideals of justice and equity. Her leadership inspired generations and laid the groundwork for a more inclusive America.
